There's a suggestion in the papers today that Trott might be named in the party to tour WIs.

well they have suggested that the world cup squad might not go , so that would mean ballance, bell, root and moeen all missing which was our whole middle order last year

What happens if the replacements score runs? I'd be be begging to go if I were one of the them, especially Ballance.

I agree about ballance , just going by what was reported, they will be worried about playing 17 tests in 10 months straight off the back of the world cup tho

I think you misunderstood - it is the Ireland ODI where players from the WI squad and IPL reportedly won't be considered. I haven't heard anything suggested the WC players won't go to the Windies - that would barely leave anyone!

Besides.... with England 3 points behind Bangladesh and only 2 games to play, England are a rain shower away from being able to give their players a month off.
