Buttler and Moeen should swap.
I see no need to drop anyone of the 3.

Can't argue too much with Ali behind them two.

They can all potentially bat at six. Maybe they need to ask who has the greatest need to recover from what they offer in the field.

Stokes or Ali will be gone by the time the ashes come, imo.

Tought one really. As much as I rate Moeen for his batting, Stokes offers more to the team as an all-rounder and England are better off as a team with Stokes at 6 and Rashid at 8.

I'm looking at Moeen as purely a spinner. Can't really take his batting into account against the attacks he'll be facing this year.

Hi guys,

I've just come down from Blue Mountain Peak, where there is no electricity, much less internet connection....

I've missed the entire three days, but judging by the looks of things, I didn't miss much from a WI point of view.

It sounds like we badly missed Taylor....

England would be pretty happy with there position now. Pushed on well.

A good 100 for Root, and still a bit left in the tail to add a few more runs yet :clap

for me root and buttler are the two key players for England for the next 10 years and as powelly said previously we are wasting buttler at #8

moeen did well for us last year but we really do not need him and stokes in this team , one of them needs to be replaced with a specialist bowler

That certainly makes sense. Bring a bit more balance to the team.

I don't get why people seem to be ok with the Samuel's salute yesterday but are critical of england's sledging

both actions are designed to provoke a reaction and just because one is perceived to be light-hearted and fun surely if one is wrong both are

I'm amazed Stokes didn't lamp him. Good job Samuels wasn't at a fancy dress party dressed as a locker.

I don't have a problem with Samuels doing that, if you are going to spend all day sledging a batter then you have to be prepared for him to answer back when he reaches a 100.... a good example was Sreesanth v Nel..... Nel spent a long time shouting and snarling at Sreesanth, so his bat wave dance response was ok.

Personally I think its the person who starts the battle that is the wrong party. If Stokes had gone back to his mark and didn't get involved then Samuels may not have been as focused to contribute and wouldn't have aimed his celebration at Stokes.

I think England will bat until tea given the chance. I'd be inclined to just bat for an hour I think. Take away the simple task where WI have to bat for five sessions on a puddingy pitch to save the game. Get the game moving on.

England literally cant lose this match now, and I guess the only way they can is if they get to a position they want (ie Windies ten wickets down before the end is the only way England can win too).....

Send the guys out early to slog, add quick runs benefits England, having more time to bowl Windies out benefits England..... doing neither benefits Windies.

Bat as long as you can, try to get the lead as high as possible and then allow 3 sessions to get Windies out
