That was my first live ball i've seen of the test match.

Bell's having a cracking game, bound to get a hundred in the seconds innings.

Moeen is still the lone spinner. Not surprised though that England are not going with a specialist spinner because this has happened over few test series now. imo very risky strategy for short term as well as long term plans.

This from Wikipedia:

In Australia's 1999 tour of Sri Lanka, he was involved in a sickening outfield collision when both he and Steve Waugh were running to take a catch. Waugh was running from the infield towards the outfield, while Gillespie was running in. Waugh dived for the ball resulting in his nose and Gillespie's right leg being broken. The catch was not taken.

The catch was not taken stands out for me.

Watling has a very high bat lift. Will be interesting to watch him on Asian wickets where the ball stays very very low.

Jeepers, only been watching for 20 minutes and practically every delivery looks like it could get a wicket.

England are going to have their work cut out to save this game from here.

Stokes has nearly bowled as many overs as Anderson and Broad. That seems a little daft to me. Pressure on Cook to do something, anything really. Can Cook bowl?

I can't believe how well these guys must be batting when you see Anderson get so much movement. Perhaps too much movement is the problem.

After that last ball from Anderson I think the slow ball is required.
