I've followed little bits on the radio throughout the day. Sounds like it's a bowling paradise. On that basis, Somerset making us FO here might not be the worst thing in the world. We'd surely have never chased something down, but at least now we have a slim, slim chance of being able to set Somerset 100 to win.

95% chance though that we're losing this by an innings.

It's also worth pointing out that we did take a very impressive 144-8 with the ball. It's just the we'd already conceded 202-2 by that point. Looks like that first session and a half will decide the whole match.

True, but we're currently getting a hammering at home by one of the supposed weaker teams in this division.

Was wondering where all the young hopefuls are going to come from when the old guard go out to stud. No one has come out of the lower ranks and forced himself into the first team for at least 4 or 5 years. What are they doing wrong in the youth setup at this county.

So long as Notts' last two wickets don't put on another 31 runs, then in all likelihood we'll come out of this game still outside the relegation zone - and that with half of the season gone already. Very much clutching at straws I know. But with no Vince or Fidel, and Carberry and Tommo's early season form completely gone, defeat in this game was always a real possibility.

Nice enough batting conditions this morning, time for one or two players to stand up and make some decent contributions to give us half a chance of getting out of this current mess of a game.

Coming into this game, Tommo averages 34.97 deliveries between FC dismissals, I think thats decent for a 11.
