Hopefully this series will go some way towards cricket reclaiming the moral high ground in terms of sportsmanship and the concept of fair play in international sport - both on and off the field.

We'll see.

Less than 12 hours to go.

Looks as if Watto will get the nod over Marsh, which from an England point of view could be a good thing. He can't take a 5th bowler role - he rarely bowls more than 2-3 overs in a spell.

Australia 2-1, with at least one rain-affected draw in the mix.

England 2-1. Hope I'm wrong though. :Aus:

The day has finally arrived. Same team for England, and Watson and Rogers for the Marsh's.

Australia should win this comfortably, 4-nil I'll go for, with rain saving England in the other. At a stretch, England could sneak a win with an Oz batting collapse, one or two Oz bowlers breaking down, Twatto doing his usual, and England getting the rub of the green, then England could cause an upset, but not more than once. I can't really see it happening once, tbh.

I cant decide if this is a Glenn McGrath style wind up? The more I look at it, the more I fancy England suprising this Aussie team. I think this will be a closer series then many expect, Australia don't have the depth of batting to really pound England, and losing Harris from the attack brings the bowling attacks to a more equal plane (but still Australia comfortably ahead).

If England can regularly get past 300 then they can win matches.

8/20, guessed 75% of them!

Has someone made sure that the Aussies have got a good supply of tennis balls to have a nice kick around on the outfield before the game?

Anyone near Cardiff? Whats the weather looking like this morning?

Hopefully the pitch wont be to flat, and maybe loosing the toss wont be a bad thing, specially if asked to bowl?

I think whoever bats first will rack up 350 today and probably make 450-500 total. Pressure then on the other team. Looks a flat batting track.
Anything can happen with a round ball.

Coz we're going up, and we'll win the cup, for Sussex by the Sea!
