There was a bit of a flag waving and anthem preamble this morning Waughtwins, with a marching military band. Aidan's into all of that stuff, and has a commemorative Ashes 2015 (TM) England axe. I stayed well away. It'll be covered on NBC news this evening I expect.

Michael Holding and Botham very critical of the pitch and Gower trying to defuse the fact that a pitch has been set up for England too firstly not lose on, hopefully win the toss and put runs on the board.

Well so far with some luck it's working. The luck being winning the toss of course.

Botham thinks we could be in for some very tedious cricket. Well he's almost always wrong so lets just be patient.
