Aussie batsmen are one day cricketers in test player clothing, they have lost the art of the leave outside off which is essential in the longer form of the game. At Cardiff 12 of their wickets fell to catches behind or in the slip cordon. Even Watson has been out caught off edges as often as LBW. Haddin famously nicked behind at Trent Bridge in 2013 when Australia were within a handful of runs of a great win.
My concern is that Bayliss wants England batsmen to embrace a similar approach which would be appalling. Long live the leave outside off.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Well in Maddinson's case he says he is open to longer formats, but Australia have hinted in the future that they want two specialist teams, and in that eventuality Maddinson accepts that his future will probably lie in T20.

I think England are concerned that they aren't connecting with the public. Which is why we're seeing less on field aggro, and why they are attacking more.

If you put away the money you'll save in a piggy bank, you could buy a villa in the Bahamas in a year or two.

I would like to cancel it, but there's just too much cricket on there. I could if it was just football, Pompey aren't going to feature much for a while and watching the other lot and hoping they'll lose is pretty sad.

I got one of those earphone thingies at Cardiff and I thought both commentaries were very good, Ricky Ponting is a vast improvement on Warne and really knows his stuff and I could listen to Boycs all day, he is comedy gold.

I have one of those (well two actually) earphones. Trouble it I can't get into them because when I have them switched on I feel like I'm watching Sky anyway so don't bother with them.

Like the idea though. Especially the commentator/crowd interraction.
