He was lucky not to knowck the ball onto the stumps.

Not got it on, what happened?

He ducked into the very first ball. Good delivery, but wasn't that high. Chest high at best. Struck him in a similar spot to where Phil Highes was hit. Brought some blood, physios and a helmet inspection, but he seemed to be fine.

Anderson going around the wicket to Smith again, will interesting to see how this works out. Is it simply to slow the scoring or an attempt to gat him bowled behind his legs.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Didnt he miss the Windies series because he did the same thing in the nets and got a bad knock to the head and concussion? Would probably sensible for him to have a sit for the next 4 days

Wood bowling too straight and leaking runs that England can't afford.

That 284 stand was the highest for any Aussie wicket at Lord's.

Also, surprisingly for me at least, only 2 Aus batsmen have scored double centuries at Lords. With Bradman's 248 the highest. Hopefully Smitty can make it 3.

Although the first session saw some good consistent bowling from England. Broad in particular. Unlucky not to get another wicket or two.

Bowling straight to Smith is money for old rope for him.

At least Smith's innings is semi encouraging....

He was once a terrible bowler and now look at him... there is hope for Stokes yet

Bit of an Oz collapse going on here.
