I'm alot more hopeful, perhaps holding out for a draw against Durham may prove crucial.

Out of the relegation zone, for a few hours anyway.

Good to see us finally get that required win, hopefully it sets us up for the final run in in the championship and we can squeeze out the relegation spots.

On the note of T20 Moeen Ali will be playing against us this Friday in the t20 quarter final against Worcestershire.

Hampshire win, and well done to Fidel. Maybe a glimmer of hope, with Worcester about to lose and Sussex struggling. Tough run in though.

Keeping an eye on Mid v Sus as we need Middx to win to stay in touch with Sussex.

Sussex need 69 off 31 overs with 3 wickets remaining (at 4:30pm) . Could be close.

Seems as if the points deduction is a suspended penalty & will be applied next year if they produce another poor pitch.

Glamorgan website reports Glamorgan have been stripped of the 1pt they were awarded for the game,deducted a further 2 ptsthis seasonand Hants awarded the 2 pts for the game.

Does that mean Hampshire get 2 points for that match instead of 1 for no result?

Sounds like the fact that it was a second offence has led to a serious penalty rather than another slap in the wrist.

If Middx can take this last Sussex wicket it will have been a fabulous day for Hants.
