I would make one change , move ali to #6 and replace stokes with lyon

stokes had a couple of good cameos but the rest of his series has been pretty poor

Surprised Australia didn't take the extra half hour.

Time we stopped playing ashes tests at Lords and the Oval. Cardiff and Edgbaston should be regular venues.

I think it's God's way of telling the ECB that we should have more tests up North.

except that the ECB will think that up north means more tests at TB, OT and E

Lords and Oval tests sell out.... No one turned up to the Headingley test vs New Zealand.

Thats the Northerns way of telling the ECB not to schedule tests outside of London

get a lot of those camera shots of flats that overlook the ground and its always pointed out what a great vantage point , but they must be bloody noisy places to live as well

siddle's performance in this test has for me been the perfect example of not making either/or selection decisions in isolation

australia's decision to replace Watson with marsh as the all-rounder left them without that seam bowler who could tie up an end for you and build pressure, the role that Watson did regularly for Clarke but marsh isn't that type of bowler

siddle here has given Clarke that option again and he has done it really well
