In all the years of watching the Ashes I don't recall ever watching the trophy presentation. I didn't realise they never presented it until the end of the series maybe that's why not to mention the fact that the cricket coverage would go off the air as soon as the match finished and usually return to the news or "The days of our Lives".

So this may be a first.

Personally I'm bored with watching an England captain receiving the ashes, it's rather old hat now and there's no reason boo as it used to be long ago.

I usually avoid the presentation as I have a low embarrassment threshold. Same with the opening shenanigans. I read about it on cricinfo. I've just had to mute Steely talking to Aggers.
