Apparently De Gea is going to be offered a 200k a week contract by Man U backdated for a year.

sounds a bit insane unless they are doing it to get a hefty buyout clause added as that would be £25M for just the backdated period alone , minus whatever he was getting paid of course

I guess his contract running out was a major concern, and if he signs it should double the amount of money that Real will have to pay if they want him. He now has to perform to Man U to ensure that he retains or improves his value.

obviously its in their interests to make sure they don't lose him for nothing , will be interesting to see if he does sign it as i'm sure if real were getting him for no transfer fee he could probably wangle a much bigger signing on fee for himself

Not sure whats true, but being reported in some sources that Courtois' season is over, in others 3 months for a knee injury.
