Although it should be noted Delhi is at a mess right now politically.

The city or the cricket team?

Is domestic 4 day cricket actually anything to Indians ?

The cricket team is at a mess.

The international players usually don't play ranji or any domestic cricket much, but people that don't play for india is the number 1 since that the only real way to play for India and is played at the bulk of the season.
One day and T20 got a small window in the season unlike the Ranji.
Only the IPL and the Ranji trophy really matters now.

Just thought it was funny that a player is dropped for his domestic team but playing for his country don't think it has happen before in a sport.

it is bit like Anderson being told he in not playing for Lancashire this season but is good enough to play for england.

Edit just read another website and it seem Ishant Sharma isn't dropped for the squad just that he didn't reply to messages and the Selectors wasn't sure if he was available.
If he available he will be in the squad.

2019 IPL Season.

There have been England players their counties haven't wanted to play before.

Tredwell is a recent one. Plunkett isn't a must pick for Yorkshire. Matthew Hoggard wasn't always picked for Yorks when he was winning England caps early on.

Typhoon Tyson has died, aged 87, in a Gold Coast hospital.

Richie Benaud called him the fastest bowler he had ever seen. No mean accolade.

Vale.

Sorry to hear that , Garlic. Was quite the fast bowling legend in his day - brief though his career was , in modern terms. I never saw him bowl in his pomp ; though I did meet him briefly years later , in Melbourne. Nice chap ; very forthright in his views on fast bowling. Did good work coaching in Australia long after he'd finished tormenting their batsmen.

RIP

Seems to be a popular figure around the game in Australia, where he was a commentator, as well as the venue for his greatest exploits, in the 1954-5 Ashes. A career average of 18.6 is pretty extraordinary, and he is significant among the players of the 1950s, an era when English cricketers seemed to take up a prominent place in the public consciousness. He his hardly ever spoken of by his contemporaries without that ruefulness, that shared, knowing wince that accompanies the recollection of the truly rapid bowlers and becomes a part of their legend: Spofforth, Larwood, Tyson, Thomson, Holding, Akhtar. All the better if you acquire a racy, respectful nickname. RIP Typhoon Tyson.

Pakistan's new debutant Imran Khan (not the same Imran Khan that's in the Test squad) is 27 and hasn't played a first-class or a List A match yet. He only made his T20 debut last year.
