After hearing Howe's interview with Solent after the game, I was expecting to sit down in front of MOTD and witness some appalling error from the linesman.

Actually, it turns out that Howe and Solent either need to learn the rules, or get some glasses. Sterling was about four yards onside.

Great result for United today especially considering the 3-0 loss there last year and the 3-0 loss vs Arsenal. Was a great response, we played very well in the first half. Hopefully one day Van Gaal starts Schneiderlin and Herrera consistently.

Coleman won't be signing for any big team after that performance against Martial. Had no clue.

Well if Newcastle lose, then I'd say that you have moved ever so slightly closer to survival. Whilst you'd be able to cross off a near-certain nil-pointer away to City, Newcastle and Sunderland would have to be crossing off potential-points against Norwich and WBA.

(Matt Ritchie was half standing on the by-line, half standing behind it - about two or three yards behind Federici. It would be an ingenious way of playing offside, if as a defender you could take yourself out of the equation by just running behind the goal!)

Ronaldo was on the training pitch every day, Ferguson used to struggle to get him off. We didn't really see him partying or having bust ups with senior players in the media, we just saw raw potential on the pitch taking time.

Depay's selfishness hasn't been helping the team, he was given enough rope, he seemed like he had almost stopped trying. The difference between Martial on the left and Depay was night and day and by the logic people have Martial shouldn't fit in LVG's play style either. Memphis is still young, I think he'll be fine but it will take a bit of time. There is LVG's biography that says Memphis considers LVG as a father figure.

It was Brendan Rodgers the other day. One things pretty certain, it will be someone or other before too long. It seems likely the current bottom three will all have new managers before too long. I guess that Newcastle are obliged to give McClaren a bit more time.
