Villa only have 4 points at present, and barring a miracle today, they are really in the mire.

At present you have to think they are down.

And 3 of them were from the first game of the season, so it looks like 1 point out of the last 30 available.

Agree Sunderland are going to struggle as well, but Big Sam might well be able to do something.

I wouldn't be writing Sunderland or Villa off until the day the January transfer window closes. It's pretty rare that new managers come on board with established PL clubs who are struggling, if they haven't got any cash to spend to help them turn things around. When Harry returned to Pompey, he practically bought them a whole new team a few weeks later, once that window opened. And it was just enough to keep them up.

I'm not sure that Bmouth or Norwich will have such luxuries.

Norwich were prepared to spend 15 million on a striker in summer, but didnt get there man (Wolves wanted 19 odd million).... they hardly spent at all (Brady is the only one I can think of) so they might spend some

And that is the sensible way to do things. But clubs like Sunderland and Villa are not sensible. That's how you end up with O'Shea, Coates, Brown and Kaboul as your CBs, or end up spending all the Delph and Benteke money on players who are only good enough for your bench and reserves, or end up avoiding relegation one season, but then find yourselves down in L2 less than a decade later.

A lot of clubs will be fighting for that 4th place.

Perhaps finally it will be there for Spurs.

As long as Chelsea have jose in charge, i think they will struggle to even get close.

Wasn't a great performance from Spurs last night, they just about did enough.

When Kane eventually goes up a gear you could easily see them challenging for a Champions League spot.
