Hales is batting ok, though finding the fielders. He's looking willowy and elegant. Possibly the most dashing England bat since Vaughan? Slightly disappointing first ten overs though.

There's either nothing in this pitch or Pakistan are bowling poorly, maybe a combination of both.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.
