Sounds like WI reverted to bowling how they did in the first half of the first session. The injury to Gabriel will hurt them because he was at least bowling in the right areas from what I saw. No one else actually looked like hitting the stumps.

I think most teams are now hard to beat at home. Away teams get no prep time and national boards make pitches that are custom made for home team results.

Is that true of CA Australia though? This rather slow track, and the road at Perth aren't pitches that help Australia. Quick pitches with bounce would help Australia.

The whole point of home advantage is that the home team gets to play on the pitches they learnt to play on. It doesn't require any pitch fiddling which is an accusation that raises its head every time an OS pitch isn't the same as someone vaguely remembers it being 3-4 years ago. The Perth pitch was rubbish but it doesn't mean it was doctored, just poorly prepared.

Agreed there. Somehow I think the pitch will look much harder to bat on when it's WI's turn.

Looking at Holder's bowling shows there is enough in the pitch. He's done an excellent job, but slower than all the Aus bowlers.
