Are there a pair of semi-finals: 1 v 4 and 2 v 3

If so:

Adelaide already qualified
Perth already qualified
Stars qualify with a win
Renegades qualify if they win and Stars or Thunder lose
Thunder qualify if they win and Stars lose

All other scenarios NRR dependant

Or is that too simplistic...

It will give you a firm advantage with Gayle and Bravo guaranteed to play. In terms of unique players I only have Rashid at present as the rest are playing for Australia. Whether Cricket Australia will release players for the knockout stages remains to be seen, but I somehow doubt it given the tight turnaround and geography involved between games. Even if Sydney Thunder do reach the semi-finals, there is every chance Clint McKay gets an Australia recall because he's doing so well in the Bash.
