If you want to include some Bangladesh players (as many have done) feel free to give me some names before their match starts tomorrow (NL, Oman and Ireland too, of course)

It has been pointed out to me that the main event doesn't start until the 15th, and the 8th March start date is only for the associates, so everyone has an extra week to submit teams. Scoring will not start until the super 10 stage

Yep, from now until the 15th March only players from Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies.

Technically speaking, if a team is entered before the Ireland v Oman qualifier starts then players from these two nations can be selected if desired.

If people want to take a punt on early points by selecting associate players then fair enough.

players must submit associate (*) players by 0900 GMT on 8th March, and the balance of their teams by 1330 GMT on the 15th March.

associate players that exit the world cup before the super 10 stage cannot be replaced

*To avoid confusion I have labelled Banga and Zim as associate nations, even though they aren't really associates, because they are involved in the prelims

Haven't had time to work out a team yet : but a thought occurs to me ...

I see the logic of allowing people to select Associate players early (extra points , extra risk , etc) ... But eventually two of those teams will qualify for the Main Game.

Question : Should not posters who have not previously submitted teams be then allowed to include Associate Players from those teams before the main event cut off ? ( The posts above suggest that won't be allowed) Obviously they won't score their points for the preliminary rounds - and I can see that might make the calculations a bit trickier - but really from that point the players from , say , Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be in the same situation as those from the "big" teams ; and it seems a little unfair to bar posters from selecting them ...

I guess you could say they have more "exposed form" : but is that so different from other teams' warm ups ?

I probably won't want any Associate players myself so really don't mind all that much , but perhaps we ought to consider this ?
