It has been pointed out to me that the main event doesn't start until the 15th, and the 8th March start date is only for the associates, so everyone has an extra week to submit teams. Scoring will not start until the super 10 stage

If people want to take a punt on early points by selecting associate players then fair enough.

players must submit associate (*) players by 0900 GMT on 8th March, and the balance of their teams by 1330 GMT on the 15th March.

associate players that exit the world cup before the super 10 stage cannot be replaced

*To avoid confusion I have labelled Banga and Zim as associate nations, even though they aren't really associates, because they are involved in the prelims

Most of these fantasy pages are just posts of people posting teams, here we have critical rule changes? Having to delve into more than one page of dialogue to find the selection criteria for the deal when it's already posted in full seems well...unfair to say the least. I won't bother selecting a team as I already feel disadvantaged

Possibly so, however there did not appear to be an easy answer here. Had the opening post been changed then I'm sure there would have been complaints that people could not be expected to re-read it. Maybe a PM would have worked, but it's too late now and not one person on the thread suggested that that was required.

Perhaps an opportune time for me to commend DFM on the excellent job that he does running these things and the time and effort that he puts into it.

If you count in someway or other there is seven posts that confirm the rules before they are changed. For someone visiting a thread 10 pages long to have to read every post to ascertain a rule when it's quite clear they have been confirmed over and over at the start is not much of an argument.

It's pretty easy to rectify....in the future don't change the rules halfway through.

It's key to note it might sound like moaning, but even Durham says that not picking associate players after the rule change was posted meant a disadvantage.

I don't blame Durham as he was quite clearly pressured into changing when he didn't want to.
