Looks like they assumed all the grounds are like Mumbai.
They also got so excited by the grass in the pitch.
The grass is only their to stop the pitch from crumbling and turning huge amount.

Wonder what KP was taking when he said Delhi is a nice batting wicket.
Don't have stats to back me up but in the IPL Delhi is been one of the lower scoring grounds.

There is nothing wrong with the pitch

This is just incompetence

Yes. Stokes couldn't have tried hitting the ball harder. Unfortunately he missed it. They lost the best batter on a run out, the captain left a straight ball.

Great for the associates against the big three.

Maybe Stokesy will do it with the ball.

TBH 162 is a lower scoring ground for the IPl.
looks like England still have no idea how to bat in a very slow deck still and in terms of pitches this decks not even that slow.
seen far slower decks before.

What is it? 3 wickets in 15 odd games and an economy in double figures.... not exactly confident of that happening.

If T20 legends were built on that and the ability to slog a boundary and then get out, he would be worth millions in the IPL auction

Wrote this in another forum.
Still can't believe England picked 4 pace men.
Choke teams with spin in slow grounds.
Root needs to bowl is 4 overs here if England are to defend any 120-140 total.

Issues is I can see Afghanistan getting to a flying start when batting is at is best and with england having 4 pace men, Afghanistan will have plenty of easy batting overs to feast on.

In my opinion England need 140-150 to win this game.
120 will not be enough since Afghanistan will destroy england in the first 6 overs where batting is the easiest.
