Problem there is you don't know how much money yo have for new bids until you know if your rebids were successful. This hands an advantage to those who don't have rebids.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Indeed, but then there would be doubled up rounds. I guess you can always give up on your interests in the rebids if you prefer financial clarity

All I did was deduct my confirmed winning bids from the 1.5M total, and imagined any rebids to be new bids, so that I knew exactly where I stood when making my second round bids

Last year I had very few class players in my squad so I rarely had a problem selecting my team. This squad has many more class players which brings conundrums in selection.

I reckon a really good team would be 6 batsmen/wicket keepers and 5 good bowlers. That means all 11 are potential wicket takers.

Budget: £1.5M
Deadline for 1st round bids: Tuesday 7pm
Highest bid wins player in each round - if 2 or more teams are tied after 4th round then tie-breaker will come into effect
No over-bidding until 4th round (ie: you can only make bids up to £1.5M in first round)

If we don't get a 10th player, then the highest value unallocated 30 players will become Brearley's Boundary Riders.

Squads will be between 20-30 players. If you spend your budget before you have 20, then you will be randomly allocated the lowest value remaining players until you have a full squad.

Any questions please ask, but you might not get a reply 'til tomorrow night as I'm on jury service in the morning :)

I overlooked this rule change. :horse

You can resend your second round bids if you like, Ntini?

McLaren isn't. He's been playing pre-season for us throughout so far, including today. The reason we signed him was due to his availability throughout the season.

No idea if Christian is, but as far as I am aware Notts have signed him for limited overs cricket only anyway. Bird is their four day overseas player, at least for their 10 games anyway.

I have no problems seeing as thouh Ntini had to rush to get his bids in, if he wants to release some players.

I am so screwed if a fair amount of my second round bids don't come off. (And even if they do...)
