Drew with Man City, beat Newcastle, beat West Brom..... 7 points for Norwich

Try last two games and last eight games. You can fit stats to suit your argument.

Neither of those amounts conform to the official Premier League standard form guide... which is shared by the biggest independent football website on the planet.

At least we look like getting cracking finishes at both ends of the Premier League.

And somehow Bournemouth have survived to boot.

I dont want to question Big Sam's undoubtedly incomparable pedigree, after all he has two Playoff Final winners medals with teams that were runaway bookies favourites to win the league outright at the start of the year......

But just to even it up, the bloke who manages Newcastle has won 2 La Liga titles with Valencia (an effort that is seen as the best achievement in Spanish league history since Real Sociedad won it in the 1980's), two UEFA Cups with different teams, two Champions League finals (one won), a Serie A Title, a Club World Cup, and various other minor domestic cups.......

Benitez has been dire since his Liverpool days, and has possibly never been in this position. This situation is one big Sam relishes.

If we're talking career achievement then Rafa wins hands down.

When he got to Inter he was told that Mourniho had won the Champions League with a simliar team, and was told he would get no money. He won both domestic cups and the World Club Cup, but finished second to a Milan team that was able to sign Ibra amongst many others. He left because he actually spent 30 million less than he bought, and was told he wouldnt be given anymore the following year.

Chelsea... won a European Competition and Di Matteo left him in no position to challenge for the league.

Napoli... he basically lost all of his squad, and had to buy one with the money generated by the sale of Cavani. Did well first year, although disappointing second year.

Real.... never popular with the fans, and was hounded from day one.

got top for about 4-5 years in a row, and pushed Man United very close one year. In an era where Chelsea spent mega money and Man United were much more powerful in the transfer market, he was never going to win it.

To think that he won the Champions League and lost another final with a team that would probably compare with Tottenham now, is a massive achievement.

He's had more bad luck than Norwich!

Also, if Sunderland win their game in hand, they'll be four points ahead with four games to go. Btw, I'd love it if I'm wrong.
