I was half listening to TMS and think I heard one of the pundits say Cook will have to wait unit Lords for his 10000th run - so whoever it was must not be expecting England will bat again in this match.

Wonder if this is a sign of Sky treating the blast and T20 stuff with the same importance as England Test matches considering Nasser hussain been promoting the Test matches summer in the adverts and then he missing 2 england test matches and instead been doing all the T20 games.

Watching the highlights, Vince's foot movement looks pretty lazy. Walking into shots. Throwing his hands outside off. He clears his front leg away when he drives like the last overs of a T20.

I know people liken him to Vaughan, but his upright stature, inhibited shoulder movement and slight movement of feet is triggering Chris Tavare!

Might just be nerves.

I see from cricinfo that Herath is the leading first class wicket taker currently playing.

Reports suggest the pitch was playing up a bit towards the close, so England might get some advantage from the toss.
