Euro 2016

The beautiful game!

The German fans adore him and there would have been uproar if he hadn't made the squad, just for his tournament experience much as anything else.

Is he only 30? I would have put him at least 35 and an out of condition 35 at that. Guardiola did right in getting shot of him to Man U when he did!

Any positive news from the England camp?

Like Milner's done a hamstring in training.

Irrespective of Gareth Bale we should beat Wales comfortably on Thursday but we said that about Russia.

Just booked half day's leave, will it be wasted?

We SHOULD beat Wales by more than one goal. They had a lad starting last game who struggled to get into MK Dons team last year.

I'm hoping we will be allowed to take two hours off work so we can watch it. My new boss is half Welsh, and he's down on Thursday. Better mind me language.

I could probably watch it at work but the phone is bound to go all the way through the game from those ignorant non football people amongst us.

Martin Samuel wins the prize for most idiotic comment about England for this tournament, and we are only 1 game into it.

"England dont create players like Gareth Bale"......

Prizes for the Welsh team that Gareth Bale has played football with???? Last time I looked, Southampton was not next to Newport.

Apparently proven match winners, or in his words "players that take a game by the scruff of their neck"...... Judging on the first round, he wants more England players to be rubbish all game save for a free kick he passes down the middle that the keeper runs away from.
