Indeed. But Amir is anything as good as he was on his last tour here, some of the movement from Woakes will be making him very excited.

who will take the wickets?
broad won't be able to take 20 wicket all alone to win games or series.

in recent times england have looked poor when ever broad or anderson are injured or not playing.

currently only really woakes looks capable of bowling in test matches outside anderson and broad.
the rest are not really threatening the batsman enough to win games for england.

Today sort of restates how much England miss Swann.

Of course England need Anderson, but it doesn't seem that conclusive to point out what is happening right now. England got four wickets promptly enough but are being held up. Just as well, or we'd have another SL on our hands. The England pace attack has kept it tight, and need something with the new ball.

In the equivalent Test last summer at Lord's, Australia were 356-1, 566-8 and Anderson had 0-137 in the match at over 4/over and the press were suggesting he was on his way out.
