Loath I am to do it, its time to venture outside and burn some dead animals..... for the second time this summer, its over 20 degrees here! This is an exceedingly rare treat!

If the Pakistan bowlers calm down they could make it tough for England but Wahab is too wild at present. With any luck the England batsmen will remember Shah got them out because of their own errors not by great bowling.

Shah just needs to keep Vince playing to fuller balls. Vince is hanging back waiting for the shorter ball, but he doesnt seem to be able to pick the quicker, flatter one.

Looks like Yas bowls a flipper, so that might get him.

Good to see Vince get some runs on the board, in tough conditions. If people start badly, it's tempting to will them to carry on that way, so they move on to the next player, but really it would be a huge bonus if he made runs here.

Vince has a lot of good points but he does play with bat a long way outside his body and I fear he'll be undone by real pace or movement. Watching Woakes bat he was on of the few batsmen to play consistently with a vertical straight bat even on his drives outside off. Vince would do well to follow suit.

He rarely gets his feet near the ball. In fact, he hardly moves his feet.

Not really. This is how he bats. I said before expect to expect some quick 30s and 40s (quick, but not slogging) from him, before getting out. Lobbing one up in the air, or nicking to slip, for 43 off 47 now would be his career in a nutshell. He doesn't convert anywhere near often enough. But nor does he ever look bogged down.
