Very surprised to see Root and Bairstow available for the Royal London Cup, this presents a selection dilemma. Do Yorkshire drop a batsman or bowler if all three England players are involved?

Essex undone by the three spinners Warks had in their team. Some talk that maybe Patel bowled a doosra to get Bopara out. Trott scoring a vital century at the top of the order is having a great year with the bat.

Win gives them another home game in the semi-final.

Listened to much of the last third of this driving home from Wales. Seems like Essex were going very smoothly until the spinners came on and changed the game completely

When we won the early version of this competition in 2010 we defeated Yorkshire in the semi-final and went on to beat Somerset in the final, wonder if a repeat is on the cards. Bell had just recovered from a foot injury and was in his pomp, somewhat different at present though.

Decent start for Yorkshire. Plenty of bowling options to come with four seamers and two spinners. Kent are obviously a strong 50 over side, but Yorks must have a good chance with that team, unless they're focused on not getting injured before the ODIs.

310 looks a long way off. 260 feels more realistic. Scoring rate going down, not up, and the allrounders in.
