TBH bangladesh have coped it better than the english batsman although that is because the spinners been awful.
first innings except for ali first over Bangladesh were batting ok and in the second innings 80/1 in 20 overs.

quite tough choice, new ball and the spinners more likely to take wickets but concede it quickly or the old ball with the pace men that are threatening with the reverse swing but can't bowl long spells but bangladesh scoring nothing or very slowly.
take the new ball and the pace men lose the Reverse swing, spinners bowl with the old ball and the ball doesn't have the bite and bounce.

One thing we won't be able to complain about on the India tour is a lack of preparation. It has let so many sides down in the past, but two tests and an ODI series, not to mention tour games in Bangladesh and India - you can't get more prepared than that. Surely England's players will improve in their ability to cope with the conditions before the first India test?

Entirely possible, but if we do, it won't be due to a lack of preparation. It'll be down to our batsmen not being able to play spin effectively enough, turning pitches, and our spinners not being good enough.

Here we go. Dilemma number 1 for Cook and team: with the new ball due in 2 overs, who takes it? Do you trust the offies (who are turning the ball into the right hander and hence not as dangerous) or Rashid (whose control has been dubious)? Or chuck it to Broad?

Poor Sabbir is stranded on 64 not out. Poor guy, must be gutted. Bangladesh have given a very decent account of themselves. That first win against a major scalp cannot be far away (maybe even next game).

Not surprised at all with England winning as i was expecting it once they posted a target of 286. However, what i did not expect was England will allow them to score 263. They should have exploited the conditions and the batting lineup with big tail to win with a margin of around 75 odd runs. Still a good win. Cook has learned a lot from tour of India. He started with 2 spinners, which imo was the correct strategy. He also kept fielders in proper fielding position for spinners. He also introduced the pacers when he realized his spinners are not exploiting conditions. He took correct decision of stopping play yesterday evening. He has been a nice captain this test. Ben will get Man Of The Match.
