Also Stokes bowling improved loads, never expected him to be the best english bowler this winter so far.
probably kills all doubts about him in the team considering he can be picked on bowling and batting merit now.
Needs to be consistent with the bat though to justify an top 6 position but can easily slot in at 7 as well so whatever happens should be in the team if the batting doesn't click or england get 6 better batsman.

We're getting near the point that the players will start celebrating when dharmasena gives someone not out as he is definitely going to be wrong

I'm not sure there were any doubts other than from sussexpob

He's the most talented england player in my lifetime, he just needs time invested in him like we invested in flintoff, broad and bell

If he can continue to improve in skill and consistency he will be the best cricketer in the world

That first innings lead seems a long way off.

Didn't realize it was an early start so missed the dismissal of Moeen, just caught the Stokes replay. This pitch looks more difficult than the one at Chittagong. I suppose we should have expected something like this after Moeen's success yesterday, if he can look great on a pitch the Banga spinners would be almost unplayable.

Pretty terrible start. Bairstow goes. Looks like a huge deficit.

A rare four for Joe, and the deficit below 100. This is a bit tense. The India series will be easier on the nerves as I'll just accept the inevitable result.

This is the first time I've been wanting England to win since the last Ashes whitewash. Not sure why.

I can't remember seeing a pitch like this with so much turn, Even in India in 2012 the turn was far less and the UAE the turn is relatively modest. This is reminiscent of India in the 50's.

I fear that Ansari wicket will see a quick end to this innings.

Joe doesn't convert many but we need one now, providing he doesn't run out of partners.

The weirdest thing being I haven't actually seen a wicket fall yet.
how did Tamim actually score a very easy hundred here.

in the sub C the extra 30 mins played early in the morning, get dark very early especially in Kolkata/bangladesh.
