It's not easy, not every England partnership is going to be like this. This is exceptional one and probably the other stroke players wont be able to show as much patience as these two have. imo India are still huge favorites to win this, nothing has changed.

4 sessions is a very long time to bat out, specially on day4/5.

India firm favorites. Once India get into the middle order i would expect the innings to finish very quickly.

I'm waiting for that one session where 5 or 6 wickets will fall/ collapse and even out the wicket less session played by Cook and Haseeb

There is enough belief in what 3 spinners can do on day 4 and 5 and especially in our team in these conditions.

Nice DRS escape from Kohli earlier. Obviously, that would have been out in India normally. Wonder if people are warming to the umpire in the stand.

Most of indian fans want DRS.

yeah most of Indian want DRS but suspect most are also not 100 percent pro or loving DRS, think most hate the way DRS is used and they probably defending why india doesn't like DRS or possible bad point which ICC generally forget about or tries to ignore it until they had to improve it to get india using drs.

Still think DRS needs improving though, technology very good now just the question of which technology is used, at what series and how it is used and how it is being paid and how the money to research it further is being paid.
Really suspect if india didn't like DRS we would still be having the *modded* half hearted drs from couple of years ago since I highly doubt Hawkeye or hotspot or whoever pays for the researched cost would have paid for it.
Researching how the technology can be used for cricket or how accurate it is would be the last thing anyone would do and it was very odd and stupid for ICC to basically agree to it all without not much testing or knowledge.
not sure if india agreed from the onset if the companies would have researched it further considering resarching is the most expensive cost and highly doubtful Hawkeye would have spent money on DRS.

So in a way DRS needed opposition and was so weird how people that liked DRS missed the point that without india opposition DRS would never actually get better since doubtful ICC, Broadcaster, Hotspot, Hawkeye wanted to spend more money on it.

He's taken wickets but rarely at important times or with a decent economy. The sort of praise he's getting he should be deciding the course of a game which he isn't.

Bowled well and looked more threatening but most were missing the bat and not sure many batsman were troubled by him since they could read him off the pitch here.
tailender probably can't.

Openers doing a fine job, but you get the feeling one wicket will be three.

One certainty is that two wickets will be three.

Is Nasser doing the whole commentary? I've had a number of naps and whenever I wake up I wake to him and his assertive opinions about everything and every player. It must be wonderful to know everything and know you know it, eh behavesh.

Big difference between knowing it and speaking out on awful stereotypes that still exist in Cricket.
which is pretty much bullying these days.

would have to disagree

seamers bowled mostly too wide, the batsmen just left the ball most of the time

jadeja and ashwin bowled from the wrong ends for ages and were pretty ineffective

when Cook and Hameed were tentative at the start of the innings, India had 3 or 4 fielders on the boundary and gave some really really soft singles that got the batsmen settled

Eng had success with one seamer and one spinner, we keep starting off with 2 seamers and then going to 2 spinners - should mix it up when nothing is happening so that the batters have to keep adjusting between spin and seam every over

we might well still win but we've done a good job of giving the Eng openers the best possible chance of saving the game - tactics have been awful
