Got them relegated first!

He has done well, but they have got the best squad in the Championship by a mile.

Standout players for me are Matt Ritchie and Dwight Gayle. We had the latter in our sights briefly.

Not only that Newcastle also spent 50 million over the summer  Sure they sold 80 million worth of talent, but even so spending 50 million just shows how far away the premiership is in terms of money.

Good chance to win the league cup as well.

A long journey for the Hartlepool fans.

Do you think they took many more than a hundred fans?!

Trips to Exeter and Plymouth can be no picnic either!

I'll never understand how people can complain about Newcastle's spending when we made a profit of 30 million. And in my opinion this squad is better than the one we had in the premiership despite making that profit!

Not sure? I doubt Wycombe take many up there.

Last night was the most one sides 2-5 i think i have seen. Did not deserve that result, but we have had results happen the other way. Also ref seemed to prefer us. Think in the championship we are the second top scores, and second top in goals conceded.

2 wins on the bounce though and we are safe for a little while. We actually have a pretty good team, just that the club is in dire straights, and injuries to key players. But Cash and Bendtner made it back to the bench last night.

The nice thing about Forest at present is the number of players that have come through the academy. Cash, Osbourn and Warrell in last nights team. Sadly unless Forest go up in the next 2 years they will all be gone. Osborn's form of late has me worried that he will go in January.

Not complaining Andy, just an observation relative to Newcastles place at the top of the league.

Spending power does not equal success.

Villa have spent just as much as Newcastle, and are level with Forest on points :laugh

A very Newcastle thing to do! Still I'd much rather lose today and win on Tuesday in the league cup.

Ref is clearly on the Forest payroll. Cast iron penalty for Newcastle not given, then a penalty to Forest for Lansbury being a great big acting baby. Then a Newcastle goal is disallowed for a 50 50 challenge.
