Root gone for 78.

Not sure it is quite as easy to score on here as some are suggesting. Apart from the early dash of Roy , all the batsmen have perhaps threatened to take the bowling apart , but never quite reached top gear. Which suggests 300 might be a decent score after all - if they can get there.
Think Kohli has used his bowlers well to help restrict England ; but I'd normally have expected one or two batsmen to really take over - and it hasn't yet happened.

Of course India may find things easier - England have inferior spin options for a start ; and dew may be a factor later on. But I'm no longer certain this is really a 350 pitch.

Stokes innings might just win it but then again this wicket looks like a belter that australia normally get in india odi.

Haha ...I think what I meant to say was it wasn't an automatic 350 pitch.

Stokes is doing what one might have hoped Buttler would do at the end. Rather destroying Bumrah's figures (and denting his reputation ?) and pushing the score up to at least respectability .
Has to be said some poor bowling recently. But Ben is not the easiest man to bowl to...

Wonder if Sussex is watching ?

Dismissal of Stokes might keep them under 350. Super innings though ; Moeen can pretty well swing at anything now , and Woakes just needs to keep turning the strike...Willey still waiting his chance...
