Full name is technically.
Kapil Dev Ramlal Nikhan
personally think with Sri lanka, indians, pakistani it would make more sense to use the letter they are mostly associated with.
so for Dev D, Vaas V etc.

Also with his daughter surname being Dev think it should be enough evidence for him to be in the D team.

If so, I'd be inclined to leave out Dhoni/Dolly and play Kapil Dev.

Only fogeyish old English commentators called him Dev though. His name on the scorecard is the whole thing, like that's all his name.

Yes.

Alternatively, Fanie or Kapil Dev.

Jeffrey Dujon might challenge Dhoni.

Lots of D keepers.

Dujon would probably get my vote as keeper and just play ABDV as a batsman

Or make Kapil Dev a K, which'll be a tougher team to fill.

Dravid to open, pick ABDV as a batter, bring in Dujon, and play Dev ahead of Fannie De-Villiers.

So that's now

Dravid
Dilshan
Dexter
de Silva
de Villiers
Dujon
Kapil Dev
Donald
Davidson
Doshi

So someone can go back in. Dhoni won't play as a specialist bat, so of recently featured players that's Fanie, Dhawan or D'Oliveira. Dexter was a 3 and averaged over 50 there. Dravid opened 23 times and averaged 42.5 (52.9 at 3)
