So having failed to review a rotten lbw call against Jennings , Ballance wastes one on a stone dead out decision :facepalm

He played some nice shots but his judgement was way off...

England in trouble. The extra bowling looking more and more a questionable luxury .

Root leading a charmed life today...

Two chances already , he should make 150 now. Team certainly could do with it.

Not sure why everyone is so worried, we have been consistently rebuilding from not alot for three for many a year.

Bairstow gone now ...rotten session for the home team.

Been decent conditions for the bowlers , as rich suggested earlier - not unusual for Lord's. and they've bowled very well.

But this has been poor from England : Root is lucky to be there too.

He's had the only luck going ...Jennings was fired , and I see now this lbw against YJB was borderline. Hope te skipper can cash in...

It's not just our imaginations, we're always down for not many. Geez, England's average for wickets 1-3 over the last couple of years is a paltry 33.55, 7th ahead of only Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe.

For wickets 4 to 6 on the other hand, we're top of the pack with 46.4. Says it all really.
