But Warks will win. I need Notts to scrape through with 8 off an over.

Mathew Pillans does the job for Leics who go through. Well done to them and all the qualifiers.

Worst of luck for Northants for not getting the chance to qualify on the pitch tonight.

They hardly deserved to qualify, such was the collapse. Almost like they didn't want a QF place.

Tues: Derby v Hants 6.30pm
Weds: Glamorgan v Leicester 6.30pm
Thurs: Notts v Somerset 6.30pm
Fri: Surrey v Warks 7pm

Quite a few historical t20 big hitters in the QFs, arguably with only Northants (and maybe Lancs) missing.

Hants: two wins & four SFs
Leicester: three wins & two SFs
Notts: one runner-up & two SFs (and about 1,000 QFs!)
Somerset: one win, three runners-up, and one SF
Surrey: one win, two runners-up, and three SFs
Warks: one win, one runner-up, one SF (and also about 1,000 QFs)

Was listening to this on the rattler back from Edgbaston: seemed like all Birmingham players were playing Russian roulette with their wickets :stupid

I was at Chelmsford thursday night to see the game vs Kent...was a stunning partnership from Denly and Bell-Drummond, admittedly some awful bowling particusrly from Paul Walter. Tendo should have bbowled himself more and earlier...would have tossed Lawrence the ball as well....didn#t think we would get anywhere near was a stunning knock from Chopra, gutted we fell short and clearly knocked the stuffing out of the boys for the game the next day against Sussex....oh well lets get back to the 4 day stuff :)

Leicester deserve to lose this now, for the simple reason that they've allowed Meschede to be 2-7 off 2 overs. The two should really be the other side of the hyphen.

Think Leicester would take 150 from here. 65 from final 9 overs is hardly lightening quick, but a risk they could be bowled out for less.

Already looking like 150 could certainly have been defended. But surely 124 can't.

Maybe time for 2 random groups of 9 instead of north/south?

Naturally I don't follow the north group as much as I follow the south, but what on earth were Northants and Yorkshire doing in the group stage to fail to qualify?

Thankfully the last two QFs should be a bit closer.

(Although Notts are capable of blasting Somerset aside)
