Well, that got pretty tense and exciting. It has certainly woken up this test.

But inevitably they will go three down sometime on the last day.

It'll be impressive to go three down after only two games. Although if any team could manage it, it'll be England.

England have already lost in Perth. That result is printed in ink on the fixture list.

Key wicket for Woakes. Could this be another 2006?

Interesting that Joe Root's decision to bowl will be castigated long after this game is over, but Smith's decision not to enforce the follow-on, and to send in a nightwatchman at effectively 265-4 will probably escape scrutiny as Australia will still win. Going back in to bat with the ball hooping around looks more than a little silly, IMO.

With a 5 test match series and two injury prone pace bowlers in starc and cummins he didn't really have much of a choice

It was the right call baring england pulling off an absolute miracle

Was a fantastic last little session there for england! I personally am not suprised that they didn't enforce the follow...i also think they probably only need another 40 odd runs and the game is gone anyway....Our atatck was always going to do better under lights, however it won't mask the fact that when lights aren't on etc, we will still struggle....was suprised to see Overton only bowled 1 over....especially as Broad didn't want to make anyone play towards the end...all in all, a fantastic day's test cricket, and the first session tomorrow, could see the game gone from england, wickets needed first half hour!

There is a different thread related to an Indian series going on right now. But you seem far more active in this one. Weird.

Not really only posted 14 in this thread and vast majority of them was before the test even started.
Also does anyone really expect anyone to be watching india vs Sri lanka a pretty pointless series.

Aussies still favorites imo. What this collapse will do though is reduce the margin of defeat.
Test FL's - 8 , ODI and Tests Combo FL's - 1, ODI World Cup - 1, ODI FL's - 7, ODI and T20i combo FL's - 1 ,

Technically it isn't the oldest series that probably belongs to Canada vs USA.
also nothing weird about it many people don't like the Ashes.
