He seems to be bowling himself out of contention for a first team place but I suspect he will be in the 50 over side. :facepalm

I get the impression he's totally out of favour.

You could well be right, he's been confined to the margins so far. There's certainly nothing he's done so far to merit a place.
Is Gareth Harte a proper all-rounder? I thought he was a batsman who must bowl a bit but he's been coming on first change in the seconds.
Looking at the yearbook and he played 2 Second X1 trophy games last year and isn't listed on the bowling stats and 6 Championship games and again doesn't seem to have bowled. Perhaps he had an injury stopping him bowling last year.

Pringle out for another duck. Think that's 3 in a row.

Yeh, far better a promising 21 year old than a 27 year old whose had several chances. Surely also Weighell has to be moved up the order so there's less pressure on the debutante

Got to give him maximum opportunity to further develop his batting so it's got to be 6. Can't think of anyone better at 6.

Only Colly, but that just creates a hole at 5, so I agree with 6 for Weighell

I do think Colly is batting too high, though, at 5

I'm amazed they have acted so quickly! For once they can't be accused of inaction.

Squad vs Derbyshire (11-14 May)
Paul Collingwood (c), Aiden Markram, Cameron Steel, Will Smith, Graham Clark, Gareth Harte, Michael Richardson, Stuart Poynter (wk), James Weighell, Mark Wood, Nathan Rimmington, Matt Dixon, George Harding

Rushworth and McCarthy have undergone scans to determine how long they'll be out!
Potts is bowling in the current 2nd XI game
