Northants are in cruise control mode... which is fair enough. It's what I'd hope Durham would do in the same situation

At least we have a couple of easy home games next weekend...Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire. :scared
A farewell century for Trott must be on the cards.

Unless we count Pringle as a specialist spinner ( ) are we not playing with just three frontline bowlers in Rushy, Rimmington and Dixon? Rimmington seems to have improved recently but I'm not sure Dixon can be relied on at the best of times let alone as one of 3 main bowlers.

A wicket is urgently required - Northants are apparently just ahead on DL and there's rain in the air.

Level pegging on DL according to Emmerson and there's thunder in the air.

Partnership finally broken by Smith but we're behind on DL and it sounds as if rain might be about to stop play. 10 runs from the previous two balls might be decisive.

Still playing and Will Smith has another wicket. Don't know what's the situation with DL but it must be very tight. Quite a few runs needed too if it does go the distance - either way another quick wicket would be ideal.

Excellent! Just need to avoid a couple of horror overs now.

7 down now and another wicket for Dixon. I always thought he'd be a good signing. :hide

Rory Kleinveldt is a familiar name for some reason. Is he not someone who can suddenly go ballistic down the order and cart the bowling to all parts?

8 down but Kleinveldt has started to tee off - 21 needed from 2 and he is on strike. This penultimate over is crucial.
