Yep. Think John Hastings ( who was playing for Worcs ) was also very critical - Lewis said at the forum he doesn't like if either.
In fact I don't remember any positive feedback at all from around the circuit...so naturally FTECB continue with the experiment. Brilliant scheduling too to have these matches played when the sun doesn't set until after the close of play.

It actually would have been brilliant scheduling if they'd play as normal with a red ball with normal light. If bad natural light stops play then make up for it by starting earlier next day.
Offer entry after 4pm for £5 with accompanied kids free. Make a kill on refreshments etc with kids in.

Warwickshire slowly progressing towards a big score. It must mean conditions are excellent for batting so we will also prosper with the bat. What could possibly go wrong.

This bowling attack is far too weak - Rimmington as one of three specialist seamers and a non-spinning spinner. No wonder Warwickshire wanted to bat.
Even worse is - despite only having those 3 main bowlers - the batting looks weak too.

297/5 at the close. Only positive is the slow rate of scoring but 5 wickets is a poor return. Can't see how this attack will ever bowl a good side out cheaply unless conditions are in their favour.

Reckon Salisbury has shown enough to earn a longer contract before someone else does. Equally whoever recommended signing Rimmington clearly hadn't done their homework.

I agree, Salisbury has been very impressive. The Rimmington signing was a strange one, he might surprise us and be great in the T20's but I doubt it! He's almost totally ineffective in FC cricket as a bowler though on what we've seen so far.

50 partnership between Trott and Barker ( who was dropped on 0 ) and they seem to be scoring more quickly now.
