The NEPL are delighted to confirm the team to face @DurhamCricket on Tuesday is the following: Kyle Coetzer (C) Jacques du Toit, Ollie McGee, Simon Birtwistle, Kieran Waterson, Mark Watt, Phil Mustard, Jacques Snyman, Stephen Cantwell, Jake McCann and Chris Peareth
The Ist five are seriously good cricketers. Never heard of the others apart from Mustard.

With the way this season is going we'll probably lose!

Mark Watt -recently in the Scotland side that beat England- spin bowler
Snyman - Saffa pro at Benwell Hill from Pretoria (First class appearances Northern Cape)
Cantwell -opening bowler for CLS and also nephew of Noel Cantwell(Man U ,West Ham and Rep of Ireland)
McCann - wkt keeper .CLS. Leading run scorer in Durham Cricket League 2017.

Snyman.24 year old. 1st class av. 50+. Have you seen him ,SW. How does he rate?
Can Cantwell pop across to SoL and play left back?

No I have not had the opportunity to see Snyman . I gather he is a bit of a character . Averaging 33.5 with the bat ( 1 century 5 x50) in all NEPL comps ( 16 innings) and taken 31 wkts ( best 5/9 and 2x5 wkt inns).

Re Cantwell .Not sure the genes have been passed down .( He's the great nephew btw). He's built for fast bowling though.Ex Leeds/Bradford MCCU.

Thanks. Bit of a disparity between his 1st class and NEPL stats.
Cricket genes must have been passed down with the Cantwells. Noel played for Ireland v both WIndies and Kiwis in the 50s.

The lineup looked random but now the game has started it looks more likely. Originally it had Carse opening and Latham in the middke order.
