watching the highlights from yesterday and England's reviewing is really getting on my wick. both appeals were wasted on lbw decisions that were dead all day long.... fast forward to the India appeal for caught and bowled off JB1, which he didn't touch, and if Erasmus gives that, then he has to go, with very real possibility of India running through the tail and England being bowled out for under 200.

In fact I reckon India knew there was no bat involved and with England having no reviews left, tried to pressurise the umpire into making a mistake.... and why wouldn't they?

*modded* stupid some of these appeals. the appeals process in not there for struggling batsmen to take a punt on getting a reprieve, it's there to challenge a genuine error from the umpire.

I think making him vice captain was a statement of intent. He's here to stay all series

not sure why they have a vice captain in a home series, tbh. Feels rather pointless. If anything was to happen to Root mid match, there is the former captain still in the team who can step in
