Not sure the board in hiring Pellegrini and allowing him to spend 100 million had survival in mind.

Probably more challenging for Europe.

Long way to go, only two games in, can't really judge much yet.

West ham have finally spent a lot of money, but i'm not sure they have sorted their problem areas.

We needed to strengthen full backs, bring in another striker, and beef up midfield, and im not sure has done that...only 2 games in and i have faith, it's a bad start though

It looks like those of us who questioned the appointment of Mourinho as Manchester United manager might be right.

He tends to have one good season and the next season he is at war with his players and the media.

I thing the Glazers are perfectly happy, and thats who Woodward is working for.

Tin pot trophies though, forgotten about the day after they were won.

I prefer Mourinho when there was loads of comedy banter flying about. Now he's miserable and borderline losing it, pretty much everything he utters is total nonsense.

I've been saying it for a while now, but Man U are well overdue this drop in fortunes and are following in the footsteps of the Liverpool domination of the seventies and eighties.

The problem with the Jose appointment is that United must have known that he would cause problems. His appointment seemed as much about the publicity it generated then any thoughts about long term planning. And they knew the style he would bring in. It certainly seems like a disjointed club now, but after all that success, eventually it was bound to happen.

I wish Forest could even compete for some of those tin pot trophies. I know its all relative but most clubs can not even contemplate those trophies, and supporters of big clubs just forget about them the year after they won them.

Mourinho has always been a short term manager, and is all about short term success or bust. Then again will we ever see the likes of Ferguson and Wenger again, unlikely. When Eddie Howe is the longest serving premier league manager you can well see the current trend of instant results or sacking.

I can't really say I care much about the league cup or the fa cup for that matter, and if by some unlikely miracle we got into the Europa league it would likely mean relegation in the following season due to our inability to deal with the extra matches and the earlier start to the season. Finishing fourth from bottom or better in the premier league does for me every time.

Mind you three straight seasons in the premier league was better than I ever thought would happen. Relegation wouldn't be the end of the world now, losing Eddie Howe will be though.

I've just had a look to see how many goals Newcastle got battered by and once again it was just by the odd one.

That's why the big clubs pay the big bucks for the best players. In tight games these are the ones who provide the bit of magic that snatches 3 points, while unambitious clubs like Newcastle, who are only really there to provide opposition for the big clubs to show off against (and for their owners to siphon off all the TV money) go home empty handed again, or in relegation battle games have to settle for a point when they might have fancied all 3

Yesterday was probably your most worrying defeat so far.

Along with Palace, we lost our first four games last season.

Don't think Palace even scored until their eighth game in.

Still plenty of time to fix things, even if it means sacking the manager!
