What, losing to Northants?

Think he means it was a new low in our batting in a season that has been woeful. Those two extraordinary wins early season were miraculous so we could / should have had only one win - and half the runs last week were scored by the debutants.
It must be by some distance the worst lineup in county cricket for many a year!

Warwickshire away next week and then Sussex at home with a members forum scheduled for day 2 - that should be interesting -only way it'll be a 2 day finish is if Sussex bat particularly badly so we'll probably be on the verge of defeat after day 2. They'll be hoping it rains !

Apparently he's on Middkesex's short list for new head coach. That should finish them off for a few years.

I daren't look at the averages but Emmerson was reading out some of the damning stats on air this afternoon.
No one has scored more than Clark's 393 runs. Colly's average is about 12, Rimmington has taken 11 ( or was it 12 ) Championship wickets at an average of over 50 , the only 2 batting points at home were in the same game ( funnily enough against Warwickshire!)
And here's the best one - only one of the batsmen averages over 30. I'll give a clue - he's Irish and it's not McCarthy!

I wonder if he'll be able to get some shield cricket practice in ahead of the 2019 campaign, or whether he'll be picking his bat up for the first time in a year, at the Riverside, on a cold, wet, gloomy day in April, whilst trying to decide whether to put hand warmers in his gloves or just wait for them heat up naturally fending off 90mph Pattinson/Henry thunderbolts from under his hooter

I think his ban wasn't as long as Warner and Smith so he'll be available for the full Aussie season.
Not that it'll prepare him for what's coming - perhaps signing for us was extra punishment by Cricket Australia!
