I never forgave Hodd for the summer of 2007, when he must have (no word of a lie) dropped one of Ramps or Butcher about 8 times in one innings. They declared the innings with Butcher a few away from 200 unbeaten, and Ramps about 275 odd unbeaten. We won the championship, but had that game cost us more, he'd have been lynched. He just kept on spooning easy catches, I dont know if he was suffering with injury.

He occasionally added a few handy runs for us, but he wasnt consistent. And his keeper was subpar for me, barely championship standard. I was surprised Yorkshire signed him. I was even more surprised when Dizzie claimed he was the best gloveman in county cricket, he was terrible at points for us, especially at first.

Good move for Duckett to go to Notts, they have also signed Ben Slater from Derbyshire, so shoring up their batting line up

A shame for us but I think Duckett needs to move on. I feel he has got too comfortable at Northants and needs to improve his game especially his front foot shots.

Still annoying when counties develop these players and then lose them without any compensation.

Yes, that is something that needs looking at.
