I assume he's still on the telly, still on CWOTV, and in a good position to make a lot of noise at the weekend

ECB don't like noise... they like compliance and acquiescence

He left Sky when he went back to Lancashire. Might be back soon though because I don't think he's a fan favourite at Old Trafford judging by some of the irate tweets from supporters.

Hants attack feel to good to go down.

Notts must be struggling if they've not been able to bowl Yorks out yet.

Might be a factor of who gets their England players back?

Yorks have Root and JB1, Lancs have Anderson. Though only JB1 out of those seems to make a lot of difference.

Not going to be anything other than a draw at Trent Bridge. Weather looks iffy for starters.

Middlesex chasing an impossible 300 against Gloucestershire but are 19/3 ( with Stirling run out in the first over!) so that might yet be an interesting finish.

as might ours

36 overs to lose 9 wickets for an ignominious defeat?

36 overs to score 200 for a famous win?

death or glory match

It's turned wet and cold where I am, so it feels uncertain whether these late summer games will survive the rain. Good to have points on the board.

Lancs v Yorks tomorrow in the northern relegation battle in Leeds.

Gary Ballance
Tim Bresnan
Harry Brook
Jack Brooks
Tom Kohler-Cadmore
Ben Coad
James Logan
Adam Lyth
Steven Patterson ©
Mat Pillans
Josh Poysden
Jeet Raval
Jonny Tattersall (WK)
Matthew Waite

Slow left armer Logan is in the squad. Benco and Patterson are available. Willey is out (fnar) injured. Fisher is also missing.

Yorks leave out both spinners and Pillans out of the six seamers in the squad. Lancs elect to bowl. I think we know what to expect.

Wickets toppling around the country. Glamorgan 17-4. Looks like a day to bowl first.

Raval falls early to Onions at Headingley.

Then Brook goes to Bailey. I'd take three figures here.

Just wait until the Sussex bowlers get started at Chester-le-Street. :scared Thankfully there's been a delayed start because of bad light.
