Once the £5m "gift" to Glamorgan came out Durham had FTECB over a barrel. Wouldn't surprise me if the cap has been revoked and the debt written off.

I hadn't thought about that but it would make sense. They'd have wanted to avoid a big public row so may well have done a deal.

Just realized of a further source of income for Durham. Both Rocky and Keats selection for England means Durham get the compensation as the developer club.

Here's a good one - someone tweeted to Matty Wilson ( who is a marketing manager or something like that ) asking when Carse would be fit and the reply said he was hoping to resume full training over the Christmas period! :facepalm

Guess who is the leading wicket taker in division 1 this season? Plays for Lancashire and it's not Jennings or Chanderpaul!

He's got the same number of wickets as Raine who is 8 years his junior. 2nd division admittedly but we're in the 2nd division!

Other than Colly I'm not sure. Possibly Pringle, McCarthy and maybe Wood are either out of contract or have a year left.
Smith and Rimmington have a year to go but I don't think they'll be tempted to leave for pastures new ;)

McCarthy is the only one to worry about. Colly obviously, possibly Clark. Richardson and Pringle have another year, I believe.Wood certainly.

Yep. I think the decision not to retain Bunny was maybe 50/50 given his age/injuries/salary but the big mistake having released him was not to sign a suitable replacement - Rimmington the same age given a two year deal despite having a very modest record.
Things should be better next year with Raine coming in.
