I had no chance, really. Norwell was a season long no show, van Zyl was just awful and buggered off early without anyone noticing his absence, and Rampaul was a huge disappointment, who should have done really well in div 2....but didn't

My other picks were fine, but an 8 man team just can't really compete at the top level

Funnily enough the club cricket league I occasionally play in has one more round of matches on Saturday, carried over from the wet spring. Or in our case a postponement from an earlier round of fixtures because gypsies got onto the playing fields.

Looking back at the archives, Ian led the 1st three rounds but my boys kicked on and scored consistently with 3 figure scores in most rounds, allowing no chance for Red to peak at the right time
