my saving grace is that Junior's players have, in general, played more matches than mine, but my lot seem to be so suddenly out of form that they may very well fail to take advantage of the matches in hand

Lanning has found her form again after a largely disappointing season by her standards. Satterthwaite has had a decent day for the first time in quite a while. I'm not convinced that captaincy suits her at all. Non-captaincy doesn't suit Dane v N.... looks a different player when she can't bring herself on to knock over a few bunnies in the last couple of overs of a game, or promote herself up the order when a game is there to be won. She's hardly batted this series.... hasn't had to, so her returns are disappointing
