The report on Wawrickshire's site says their score looked below par especially after the DL calculation!

now in the Yorkshire game, Derby have had their target set at 225 in 22 overs which would be a huge ask in a T20 game let alone a rain affected 50 over game

In our game with Worcs they were set 152 in 24, and the only difference that I can see is that Yorks had 40 overs to compile their score whereas we only had 27.

Okay, Yorkshires RR was much higher than ours, but they were given more time to get into the meat of the game.... we might have scored at 10 or 12 an over had we had those extra 13 overs and finished on 250-275 instead of 114 and Worcs would have been set a wholly different target. Who can tell..... who would ever know? This algorithm seems completely arbitrary to me.

DL will never please all of the people all of the time, but this is the sort of disparity that will find England out in the WC later in the year and then everyone will be jumping up and down about what a bad system it is. While it only happens to Durham and Derby and GLoucs nobody cares. Wait until Surrey get set a target like Derby's today..... but we all know how likely that is

Yorks scored 146 in their last 13 overs, and most of those were in the last 8. Derby have been going like the clappers.... 4's and 6's everywhere and they are probably going to fall short... although Willey is bowling wides at them to try and help

Wonder what they'll do when Richo is available again? Miraculously all of the top order have made runs and most of the lower middle order haven't had a bat.

couple of 50's for Lees
50's for Steel, Clark and Harte

if Richo is fit on Sunday, get them all in

Burnham has been at 6, but hasn't really had the chance to shine yet, plus he isn't the sharpest in the field, so I guess he's the most vulnerable

I think so too. The rest of them down the order are bowling allrounders so he probably is the most likely candidate. Good to have a few selection dilemmas even with Rushworth and Wood not in the squad.

Richardson in for Harte who is unlucky to miss out. I suppose Burnham would have been unlucky too - one dropped after performing admirably and the other one not hardly had a bat through no fault of his own. Perhaps they want to have a look at Burnham and/or make him feel secure in the side.
Anyway, we won the toss and are bowling and there's one other change - Weighell in for Potts. Hopefully that's just a case of rotating the bowlers rather than any injury.
